In order to become a licensed football agent, you have to sit and pass an examination. The process starts with you filling out an application form to the national association of the country of your nation, or where you currently reside in. You have to check the residency requirements and make sure you meet them otherwise you application will not be accepted. If for some reason you do not meet the requirements you are required to contact the national association in the country you reside in. These examinations are held twice a year by the football association on specified dates by FIFA.
You can download the application form at www.thefa.com filling it out making sure you follow the guidelines fully and send it off to them. When sending off your application you have to pay a non-refundable fee of £250 (cheque). Another fee you may have to pay is £59 for a CRB check, this happens once you have sent off your completed application form, they will send you the relevant documents to fill out for you to send back to them with the £59 cheque. If you already have an enhanced CRB then you can just send off your CRB details to them and wait for them to contact you. You cannot sit the examination if you do not pass the background checks, so my advice to you would be to make sure you have nothing to hide and filled out everything properly before you send your documents off. If you are not sure about something seek help/advice before you send off your documents as the fee is non-refundable.
Once all of your documents (application form and CRB) have been approved your details will be recorded and you will be sent a date of the next available examination. The exam is a multiple choice tests that is over watched by FIFA.

Insurance and Code of Professional Conduct
Once you have successfully passed your examination you then need to do something very important, this is getting insurance (professional liability insurance) in your own name with a reputable company. This is simply for the fact that you need to cover yourself to any potential situations/risks that may arise when dealing with player’s activities. After you have done that the last thing you need to do is sign a code of professional conduct document that you have to abide by. Then finally, the moment you have been waiting for. You can class yourself as a licensed player’s agent and are allowed to work in semi professional and professional football on a worldwide basis.
